Private Voice Lessons
Private Voice Lessons are tailored to each student’s specific goals and needs. Focus is on helping the student sing with freedom and expression while utilizing proper technique. Lessons are offered in 45 minute increments in a comfortable and quiet home studio in Richmond, Virginia.
Students will learn the fundamentals while building a repertoire and learning the art of vocal performance.
Vocal and Songwriting Coaching
Coaching is available for singers preparing for auditions and special performances. Songwriting coaching is also available to beginning composers desiring honest feedback and assistance.
Background & Training
Claudia has experience teaching classical and CCM (commercial, contemporary music) including pop, jazz, rock, music theatre, R&B, country, gospel and hip hop). She earned a Bachelor's of Applied Voice Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. In addition, Carawan annually attends vocal pedagogy training at the CCM Vocal Institute at Shenandoah University. Most importantly, Carawan has many years experience on stage and in the studio as a singer performing various styles of music. She enjoys teaching the art of singing and her students make progress on their vocal goals.
